The product

What you'd have open all day.

Everything below is the interface. There's no separate reporting tool to buy, nothing to configure before it works, and the import runs on your first afternoon.

Plan

Drag a phase and everything downstream of it moves. Dependencies are real, so a slipped week shows up as a slipped launch in July instead of as a surprise in October.

Report

Cycle time, throughput and on-time delivery, computed from the work itself. Nobody types these into a slide the night before.

Catch up

What changed since you last looked, grouped by project rather than by notification. It's the screen that replaced the standup.

Move in

Pick the source, check the field mapping, run it. Issue keys come across, so every link in your docs still resolves.

Features

What you get on day one.

Nothing to buy separately, and nobody has to come in and set it up for you.

01

Boards and backlogs

Columns, swimlanes and a backlog that stays sorted. Bulk edit works the way you expect, including on a phone.

02

Real dependencies

Block a task and everything behind it moves. The plan tells you what a slip costs instead of hiding it.

03

Reporting built in

Cycle time, throughput and forecast dates, computed live. Export to CSV or embed a chart in a doc.

04

Integrations

GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Figma, Linear and Zapier, all two-way. Branch names and pull requests link themselves.

05

Permissions and SSO

Okta, Entra and Google, with SCIM provisioning and per-project roles down to read-only guests.

06

An API and webhooks

Everything the interface does is in the REST API, rate-limited generously and versioned so nothing breaks under you.

Pricing

Per seat, per month, billed monthly or yearly.

Yearly is two months cheaper. Every plan includes unlimited projects, unlimited history and the API.

Free

Not a trial. It stays free and it doesn't expire.

The company

Built by people who hated the last one.

Cadence started in 2019 because a team of eleven was spending most of a Friday turning a tracker into a slide deck nobody read. The first version did one thing, which was compute the report from the work.

We're forty-one people in Toronto and remote, we've taken one round, and we sell software rather than seats to a procurement department. Support is staffed by people who can read the code.

Questions

What buyers ask before they migrate.

How hard is it to move off Jira?

The importer takes projects, issues, comments, attachments and history, and it keeps the issue keys so old links still resolve. A team of twenty is usually done in an afternoon. We'll run it with you on a call if you'd rather not do it alone.

What happens to our data if we leave?

Everything is exportable to CSV and JSON at any time from the interface, including attachments, with no notice period and nothing to ask for. Your workspace stays readable for ninety days after a cancellation.

Where is the data stored?

Toronto, with a replica in Montréal. Nothing leaves Canada, including backups and logs. Enterprise can pin a specific region and get it written into the agreement.

Do you have a security questionnaire on file?

Yes. The SOC 2 Type II report, the penetration test summary and a completed CAIQ go out under NDA the same day you ask. Most procurement teams get through it without a call.

Is the free plan a trial?

It isn't. Three people, unlimited projects, unlimited history, and it stays that way. Teams grow onto a paid plan when they add a fourth person, not when a clock runs out.

What does support actually mean?

Under four hours on a business day for Team, and it's answered by an engineer rather than routed through a tier. Enterprise gets a named contact and a phone number that rings a person.

Reviews

What teams say after a year.

Twelve hundred reviews, mostly from people who migrated off something else.

We moved sixty engineers off Jira over one weekend and the importer kept every issue key, so nothing in our docs broke. Three months later the weekly report writes itself and I've got my Fridays back. That was the entire business case.

The free tier got us started and we upgraded when we hired our fourth. Never once felt like a trial running out.
Tom H.CTO · 14 people
Dependencies that actually move the plan. It's the only tool where a slipped week is visible the day it happens.
Aisling C.Product lead · 200 people
SOC 2, a completed CAIQ and a DPA within a day of asking. Procurement approved it faster than anything else we've bought.
