How we work

Six things you can hold us to.

Nothing is sold in the chair

You leave a consultation with a written plan and a price, and you book it later or you don't. Nobody here works on commission.

A physician is on site

Every injectable session, without exception. A lot of places calling themselves clinics have no doctor in them.

We say no fairly often

If filler won't fix what's bothering you, we'd rather tell you that than take the money and have you back in six months.

Photographs at every visit

Same light, same angle, same camera. At the two-week review you can see the difference instead of trying to remember it.

One product line, disclosed

We tell you the brand and the batch of anything that goes into you, and it goes on your chart.

Reviews at two weeks

Included, and it's when a top-up gets decided. Injecting everything on day one is how a face ends up overdone.

The clinic

Medical first, spa second.

Aster is run by a physician and staffed by registered nurses. It's a dull thing to lead with. It also means that if something goes wrong at four on a Friday, there's a doctor in the building.

The room is calm and the coffee is good. What you're paying for is somebody who has done this ten thousand times and will tell you when the answer is no.

Questions

What people ask before their first visit.

Will it hurt?

Injectables feel like a pinch and take about ten minutes. Filler is done with numbing cream and often a local, and laser resurfacing is the one that genuinely stings, which is why we numb for forty-five minutes first. Nobody is expected to sit through something uncomfortable without saying so.

How soon can I go back to work?

Wrinkle relaxers and facials, straight away. Filler can bruise for a few days and we'd avoid booking it the week of a wedding. Fractional resurfacing means three to five days of looking sunburnt, so people usually take it on a Thursday.

How long does it last?

Wrinkle relaxers run three to four months, filler nine to eighteen depending on where it goes, and laser hair removal needs the full course before it holds. We'll give you the realistic number at the consultation rather than the brochure one.

What if I don't like it?

Hyaluronic filler dissolves, and we do that at no charge within the first month. Wrinkle relaxers wear off on their own, which is part of why we start conservatively and review at two weeks.

Is the consultation really free?

It is, and there's nothing to cancel if you change your mind. You leave with a written plan you're welcome to take to another clinic.

Do you treat men?

About a third of our patients are men, most often for wrinkle relaxers, laser hair removal and skin texture. The consultation is the same and so is the pricing.

Reviews

Patients who came back.

Two hundred and ninety-five reviews, and the word people use most is honest.

They talked me out of filler on my first visit and gave me a plan for half what I'd budgeted. That's why I still go.
Renée D.Wrinkle relaxers · 3 years
Booked the package, six sessions over five months, and it's done what they said it would. No upselling at any point.
Marcus O.Laser hair removal
Four days of looking like I'd fallen asleep in the sun and then my skin was the best it's been in a decade.
Hana T.Fractional resurfacing
The credit rolls over so I stopped rushing to use it. Works out cheaper than paying per visit and I never think about it.

Half a syringe, reviewed at two weeks, topped up slightly. Nobody has asked me what I've had done, which is exactly what I wanted.
Priya N.Lip enhancement
The photographs at every visit sold me. You can see it working rather than take somebody's word for it.
